Ghulam Mohammad Baksh Butt (7) (22 May 1878 – 23 May 1960), generally known as Rustam-e-Hind (Hindi-Urdu for Rostam of Hindostan) and by the ring name The Great Gama, (8) was a pehlwani wrestler in British India and a tyrannizer. In the early 20th century, he was an undefeated wrestling champion of the world.
Born in vill Jabbowal, Amritsar District in the Punjab Province of British India in 1878, Baksh was awarded a interpretation of the World Heavyweight Championship on 15 October 1910. Undefeated in a career gauging further than 52 times, he's considered one of the topmost wrestlers of all time.) After the partition of British India, into the Dominion of India and the Dominion of Pakistan in August 1947, Gama decided for Pakistan, where he failed in Lahore on May 23, 1960.

He did a minimum of five thousand baithaks ( syllables) and three thousand dands (Indian word for pushups) in a day and indeed occasionally more within 30 to 45 twinkles each by wearing a doughnut- shaped wrestling outfit called a Hasli of 1 Quintal (approx. 100 kilos).
First hassle with Raheem Bakhsh Sultaniwala
Fame came to Gama in 1895, at the age of 17 when he challenged also-Indian Wrestling Champion, middle-aged Raheem Bakhsh Sultani Wala, another ethnical Kashmiri wrestler from Gujranwala, Punjab Province, Social India ( now in Pakistan). ( citation demanded) At about 7 bases altitudinous, with a veritably emotional palm – loss record, Raheem was anticipated to fluently master the 5'7"Gama.
Raheem's only debit was his age as he was much aged than Gama, and near the end of his career. The bout continued for hours and ultimately ended in a draw.
The contest with Raheem was the turning point in Gama's career. After that, he was looked upon as the coming contender for the title of Rustam-e-Hind or the Indian Wrestling Championship. In the first bout Gama remained protective, but in the alternate bout, Gama went on the descent. Despite severe bleeding from his nose and cognizance, he managed to deal out a great deal of damage to Raheem Bakhsh.
By 1910, Gama had defeated all the prominent Indian wrestlers who faced him except the champion, Raheem Bakhsh Sultani Wala (the Rustam-e-Hind or the spiral champion of India). At this time, he concentrated his attention on the rest of the world. Accompanied by his youngish family Imam Bakhsh, Gama sailed to England to contend with the Western wrestlers but couldn't gain instant entry, because of his lower height.
Rematch with Zbyszko
After beating Raheem Bakhsh Sultani Wala, Gama faced Pandit Biddu ( citation demanded), who was one of the stylish wrestlers in India of that time (1916), and beat him.
In 1922, during a visit to India, the Prince of Wales presented Gama with a tableware mace.
Gama didn't have any opponents until 1927, when it was blazoned that Gama and Zbyszko would face each other again. They met in Patiala in January 1928. Entering the bout, Zbyszko" showed a strong figure of body and muscle"and Gama, it was reported" looked important thinner than usual". Still, he managed to overpower the former fluently and won the bout inside a nanosecond, winning the Indian interpretation of the spiral World Wrestling Championship. Following the bout, Zbyszko praised him, calling him a" barracuda".
At forty-eight times old he was now known as the" great wrestler"of India.
After defeating Zbyszko, Gama beat Jesse Petersen in February 1929. The bout lasted only one and a partial twinkles. This was the last bout that Gama fought during his career.

Lee read papers about Gama and how he employed his exercises to make his fabulous strength for wrestling, and Lee snappily incorporated them into his own routine. The training routines Lee used included"the cat stretch", and"the thickset" ( known as"baithak", and also known as the" deep-knee bend."). Moment, a doughnut- shaped exercise slice called Hasli importing 100 kg, used by him for syllables and pushups, is housed at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) Museum at Patiala, India.
